These former railway sidings, originally owned by Homes England and part of the Wavertree Business Park, were declared surplus to requirements – allowing MCI to directly acquire the site on an unconditional basis in September 2017.
Whilst the original site was sold with outline permission for up to 40 residential dwellings, we were able to secure an improved full planning permission for a scheme of 48 dwellings, including 38 houses (10 three-bedroom, 28 two-bedroom and 10 one- bedroom flats in a single two-storey apartment block).

We subsequently agreed an onward sale to Your Housing Group (YHG) along with a JCT Design and Build contract to build out the scheme on 23rd April 2018.
Above all, the development was a great example of our flexible approach to landowners and our ability to act quickly and buy unconditionally, when the right opportunity arises.
