This joint venture with Liverpool Mutual Homes and a private client will see the development of 59 new homes on brownfield land in Walton, Liverpool. The former Dunlop Factory has been vacant for over 15 years. MCI Developments will commence a three month remediation programme in March in order to prepare the site for development. The development will be built to code for sustainable homes level 3 and is being part funded by the Homes and Communities Agency.

A bespoke scheme has been approved by Liverpool City Planners which was designed by acclaimed architects Jennings Design from Manchester. The landmark development will be LMH’s first site to commence from the 2015 – 18 HCA funding programme. A number of consultation events were held by the team at MCI and LMH in order to keep local residents fully informed of proposals.

“This scheme is urban regeneration at its best. A contaminated blight on the local landscape will be brought back to life with 59 quality new homes. The total value of the site is in excess of £7.5m which is a substantial investment within the Walton area. We are extremely proud to be the developers of such a scheme.”

Gar Humphreys, Director at MCI Developments
