This scheme land 16 new rural affordable homes. The village of Catterall is desperately in need of new homes for local people. There will be the opportunity to purchase 6 of the houses via a shared ownership scheme. The remaining 10 properties will be available for affordable rent.

The properties will be built to the highest energy standards and have been part funded by the Homes and Communities Agency. The site is undeveloped farmland off Baylton Drive. MCI employed leading Manchester planning consultants Mosaic to ensure that this sensate scheme was successful. The high quality design will ensure that the new houses will sit well with the existing built form of the village.

The project is expected to be completed by April 2015.

“We are pleased to have once again worked alongside Great Places and are thrilled with the creation of sustainable family homes for local people. This is an important development for the area. We have successfully built a number of homes that offer people the opportunity to remain in the area where they were born, work, and have family support.”
