This scheme is a continuation of the 32 homes that we are currently constructing for Riverside Group. 36 new properties will be constructed on the former Grey Street training facility. The training facility has been vacant for 5 years and will be demolished prior to construction. MCI purchased the land from Sefton Council in October 2014.

The homes have been part funded by the Homes and Communities Agency. A wide mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroomed properties are to be built which will add diversity to the housing stock of Bootle.

The project is expected to be completed by December 2015.

“The continuation of the Akenside Street regeneration project is great news and will enhance the area greatly. In total 68 properties will be built over 3 phases. The Council approached MCI with this potential development opportunity following the fantastic work that we have completed at the former Brooks Laundry site. This site had been a blight on the landscape for a long time and our work is testament to the professionalism and high skills that exists at MCI.”
